I recently started using Toon Boom Animate 2 for animation projects for college and before that I was using Flash for about 6 years. I am completely converted but there are a few things in Flash I could do that I do not know if Toon Boom can do or how to do it.
For instance, if I import a sound file in to ToonBoom, but then I want to edit the sound file in a sound editing program to change pitch, effect, etc. Is there a way I can just use an “update” option for the sound file that is already in ToonBoom, instead of having to reimport the sound and change the cues all over again. The same with images, if I were to import an image, and I edit it, can it be updated and all instances of that image be updated as well?
As far as I know, one can edit sound (moving / adjusting length and sound volume)
with the build in Sound Element Editor…
Adjusting sound files in any other way, one has to use an external editor and reimport…
Editing an existing image with Photoshop (or else)…
Import that edited image into the Existing Layer, then swap that image, or any other,
with the Preview and Drawing Substitution window in the Library…
