Unity3D Harmony integration on iPhone

Hi, we have a game created using Unity3D, which is in the final stages before launch.

We are using harmony animations for the characters, and the integration with Unity3D is working well enough, except for one thing:

When running the build on an iPhone, some animations are being rendered over a black frame, and not rendering transparency at all it seems.

What could be going wrong? Please see the screenshot attached. Thank you so much.

After a couple more hours of testing effort, I have a strong suspicion that this is a problem exclusive to iPhone 6 and later models, as the animations rendered just fine on a couple of iPhone 5Ss I got my hands on to test this.

Any insights?
