Unable to hear Sound files and Export

I’m using Toon Boom Animate 3 (Free Trial) and when I try to add a Sound file (.mp3) it will show up in the timeline but the sound waves are not there (even when “show soundwaves” is activated) and it is completely silent. I’ve watched numerous tutorials and step-by-step videos. NONE are helpful.

The other problem is exporting the animation as a QuickTime Player file. Every time I try to do it, and search for it in my folders, it doesn’t show up at all. Also, I can’t enter the video options when exporting as a QuickTime Player file. When I export it as a Flash Movie (swf) it can only be played on RealPlayer. So in order for me to upload it, I have to save the frames as pictures and use Windows Movie Maker… which is NOT that great…

Please, if someone could help me out, I’d really appreciate it!

Can you play your .mp3-file with your QuickTime-Player ?
As far as I know, Toon Boom is using QuickTime for sound-playback…
Make sure your sound-file-name has no odd characters or empty spaces…

Otherwise use .wav for your sound-files.

If you still can’t export as QuickTime-Movie, do a fresh reinstall of QuickTime.

Thanks, I’ll try it and see what happens.

Everything’s fixed now! I don’t know why or how it happened but it did

Thank God!
