I have been exporting my scenes as Quicktime files, and then editing and preparing for DVD with both Adobe Premiere Pro and burning to DVD with Adobe Encore. Unfortunately the final product only plays on one of my two DVD players (both Sony), and the color quality is compromised. In some cases my grays are black. Additionally the image jumps slightly up and down during the scene.

Any theories on what I could be doing wrong, and or suggestion of a better method?

try exporting as frames and importing them into your compositor that way.
