Recently, the fact that Corel Painter and Toon Boom are teaming up, came to my attention. These are both programs that I love, and I was wondering does it mean you can bridge one to the other like Adobe products?
If so how and has anyone used these two together? What was the outcome?
Thanks in advance.
…honestly, I prefer Coreldraw Photo/Paint over Painter 9.5. You can create fantastic backgrounds and more. If you want to do a frame by frame animation you can save frames and import and vectorize them into TBS. The two programs work very well together.
Corel Draw sounds excellent. I went to the site and they claim its the best bitmap tracer out there. I’m going to check it out.
Thanks.
i think corel painter is more powerful than other corel products and if u talk about tracer , new adobe illustrator version has the live trace feature along with it , which works very well
Hi guys,
I haven’t heard of any alliance with Corel, what’s going on?
Thanks!
Thank you Echarelle!
Interesting…hmm
Has anyone else taken the plunge?
I was, in the past considering getting Painter XI…hmm…maybe it would be a good chance now…though i live outside those zones (Australia)
In CorelDraw you get a whole package, including “Trace”. Trace allows you to copy a bitmap and turn it into a vector drawing. I think it is called Power Trace in the newer version of CorelDraw. It is an excellent utility. Can you tell I am a big fan of Corel products?
FYI…Prices reduced further for UK (see site for details).
