Toon Boom V.6 Very Slow

Hello,

I am using an iMac running OS 10.7.5.

For some reason the program will randomly crash when I am copying and pasting cels.

Now it is really slow exporting, drawing, I can’t use it at all.

I have 32 GB of RAM.

I have ample HD space.

Here are the specs for my graphics card:

Chipset Model: AMD Radeon HD 6750M
Type: GPU
Bus: PCIe
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 512 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x6741
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-C2950H-170
EFI Driver Version: 01.00.544
Displays:
iMac:
Display Type: LCD
Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

Could it just be a bad preference file?

If so, how can I delete it.

I am on a deadline and trying to get a project done. I have used this program before on far inferior systems and never had this issue.

Maybe I should UNINSTALL TBS V.6 and reinstall it?

I was able to use it fine with another account.

So… I am thinking I delete the preference file and I should be okay???

Or, maybe just uninstall TBS V.6 and download it again from the my purchases section on the site?

Evan

The previous system may have been inferior but your current system’s graphic card does not have great performance.

If you’re using two monitors, try switching to one so as not to split its resources between two displays. Also go into the TBS preferences and disable the “Real-time Antialiasing” if you’re using it as this feature places higher demands on your card. Note also that using more bitmaps and textures can degrade performance, as can making scenes longer instead of splitting them up into shots and using the Scene Manager.
