Toon Boom Harmony trial wont open because of a problem

I recently installed the Toon Boom Harmony 14 trial on my 2016 MacBook Pro and have been trying to open it. However unfortunately when I try to open the file I just get a window that says “______ cannot be opened because of a problem”. I have tried all different fixes on all other forums but nothing appears to be working. I really want to use this program and am considering buying it but I can’t get it to work. My computer is fully up to date so I’m not sure what else to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

When I say _____ any file that should be able to open from the download folder, for example, ToonBoom Harmony, LicenceWizard, Play

Go into the System Preferences and from there to “Security & Privacy”,
on the General tab set “Allow Applications downloaded from:” to “Anywhere”.

Then uninstall/reinstall the software.
