Toon Boom Harmony Premium 14 Crashing Randomly

I know this has probably been asked a lot of times before but I just can’t work out the reasoning as to why Toon Boom is crashing on my computer.

Starting up Toon Boom is fine, using the program is fine but it always freezes at random times and then logs me out of my computer, forcing me to sign back in. I usually lose about 10-30 minutes of work every time and it’s very frustrating.
At first I thought it was a RAM issue so I upgraded from 8GB to 16GB, thinking that had solved the problem, but the problem still persists.

I am using an iMac on version 10.12.4.
16GB RAM
Graphics card is NVidia GeForce GT 750M

I’m pretty sure that all of these meet the requirements to run the program so I can’t understand why this is happening.

I couldn’t even tell you when it happens because there isn’t really much correlation between it all, but it does seem to happen more often when playing with keyframes and rotating and such, never really when I am drawing.

If anybody can shed any light onto why I’m experiencing crashes that would be great! Thank you!

Hi,

Thank you so much for the explanation, that type of issues are normally due to the incorrect graphics card.

It’s very possible that your OS forced the use of your integrated Graphics Card that can’t handle OpenGL correctly and that will lead to a crash of the software.

I will share with you a video on how to create a profile, you can use those steps to any of our software.

I will be keeping your case open and looking forward to hearing back from you.

That’s great you would post a Windows fix to a Macintosh problem.

Email me at desk@toonboom.com, I would like to connect with you via TeamViewer and see what is happening and your configuration.
