The mysterious "Convert to Drawing" function.

Hi storyboarders,

can someone tell me what the function “Layer / Convert to Drawing” stands for ? It is refered to in the Toon Boom Storyboard Pro 4.1 User Guide (SBP41_User_Guide.pdf) on page 168 without explaination.

This function is also available when you right-click on a Bitmap or Vector layer.

Using SP4.1 on Windows 7 and Cintiq 13HD.

When you import SWFs you can see them play but you can’t draw on that layer. Convert to drawing will do what it says to allow you to draw on the imported SWF. It’s probably not used much because you can always create an extra layer anyway, place that in front of the SWF and draw on that instead.
