Hi,

Has anyone found a good text to speech solution that doesn’t cost a mint?
I want to do timing with audio, dialogue in particular. But I cant stand the sound of my own voice. I’d really love to find a text to speech system to use allong with Storyboard Pro.

Any tips are appreciated.

There are free and paid services online. On some sites you can choose from male or female of the various ages (i.e. kid, adult, elderly). Some are synthetic sounding but with others you can go as far as using services that hire people to read your material. This one is free and it sounds natural although the timbre is neutral. You just type out your dialog then it creates an audio file you can download.

Keep it simple. Upload statements one at a time. Look to trim down unnecessary content in your scripts.
