Switching platforms and upgrading - will there be an issue?

Hi,
I own TBS 7.1 and want to upgrade to TBS 8 but I am also switching from MAC to PC/windows in the process. Will I have installation issues when I download and install the PC (upgrade)version when there is no prior version of TBS. on my new computer?
