Storyboard export project question

I have a question about Storyboard.
As I can read in Pag. 68 in the Storyboard user guide : To export a storyboard to Toon Boom Solo or Toon Boom Harmony.
Are these the only options to export a project to others Toon Boom software? What´s about exporting to Animate and Animate pro?

Hi Lilly,
I have not any Storyboard yet, but, for the price promotion, I decided first read about it, downloading the user guide (that show it as very complete in tools: sound, camera movements player and much more). Later I went to try the evaluation software, and clearely, in discrepancy with this user guide, is other, more basic product. Ok, thank you Lilly for the quick response. Regards.

Hello Lilly, thanks for clarify.
Very nice brushes are found in this software. Smooth borders and texturized pencils are very interesting tools for draw and paint quickly as is needed in storyboards (rough style) all with sensitive stroke with pen tablet. The art can be exported as image, and then can be imported in animate, may be as backgrounds with pencil look. This versión would be more practical if it could simply import a sound track for to allow timing of the scenes into the software. Basic, but looks good.

Best Regards.

Hi Lilly.
This PLE is Storyboard V1.5 (servipack 1) I haven´t the software here, at this moment, for find about the soundtrack import, but, I can´t saw any timeline found in the workspaces, only a sequence of shots or scenes visualization under the drawing view. Is this the timeline which you refer? Or we are talking about different products? May be that I can´t discover it, but no one menu refers to it. Can you confirm me if I have missed this important function? Thanks Lilly.

What version of Storyboard are you using? You can find this out by going to Help > About.

The export options available depend on the version of Storyboard. If you have the Export to Harmony option available, and that makes a .digital file, this .digital file can be opened in Animate/Animate Pro.

Storyboard 2 has the Export to Animate option which will create a .anim file that can only be opened in Animate 2 and Animate Pro 2.

Let me just clarify on this one that with Storyboard 2, it actually still creates a .digital file, however this .digital file may only be opened in Animate or Animate Pro.

You can import sound. Simply right-click on a soundtrack layer in the Timeline view and then select Import Sound Sequence. You can import mp3, wav, or aiff, however I recommend staying away from mp3 if you can because sometimes mp3 and Quicktime don’t play well together.

Ah I apologise - I mistook you for having Storyboard Pro 1.5 - this is a Pro feature only. In Pro, you can add sound and time your scene and do an export to Quicktime for your animatic.
