showing manipulator ghosted out, even when points selected.

trying to rotate several deformation points together, but i can’t get the “show manipulator” button to be selectable; it’s always ghosted-out. tried several test setups and restarting, but no solution. and i’m ensuring that the animate and transform buttons are selected, rigging tool off.

also, the “control selection mode” lasso for grabbing multiple points instead of shift/clicking never seems to work. it just wants to select other layers, or if other layers are locked, doesn’t do anything.

I have the same question! The Show Manipulator button works on some of my art layers but not all. Even my leads at work can’t help me… They opened the shot on their machine and it worked, but it doesn’t work on mine. I need to select multiple points to rotate them and it doesn’t work. As well, the piece in which the button doesn’t work is pink, whereas the pieces that do work are yellow as they should be.
