Rigging Jackets

I’m rigging up a character who’s wearing a jacket that is separate from his torso drawing layer. The torso drawing layer has a bone deformer and when I try to parent the jacket with a kinomatic output node the jacket does moves with the body but remains flat as a board and doesn’t bend with the torso. Is there away to link or parent the jacket to the deformation so when the character bends the jacket bends?

Yep, do like you do, and remove the kinematic output. personally I would recommend that you create a separate deformer for the jacket and keep the kinematic output, that way you can get more detailed animation, though you do need to animate the jacket as well as the body that way. :slight_smile:
