Render View

I have a project with several vector layers and bitmap layers imported from a PSD. In openGL view it all shows fine. In Render View mode only the vector art shows minus the shadows which have a filter on them. Any ideas?

Are there any effects plugged into your bitmap layers? When you imported the bitmaps, did you vectorise them, leave them as bitmap layers, or put them in a symbol? It would be helpful here to see screenshots of the difference between openGL and Render View and also a screenshot of the timeline and/or Network view. Just upload your screenshots to a free site like Photobucket and post the links here.

I have not vectorizing them the bitmaps have no effects on them. One of the shadows does. I have worked on other scenes and can’t figure out why all the issues are showing up.

Thanks

Is it possible that you’re not displaying the Render View, but instead displaying the Matte View? This looks like the Matte View. To test this, try to do a Render and Play. Do you see the background now? Do you see the background when you render a still frame?

No this is the render view, its checked and the matte view looks different, the characters body folds are all white and the background is black. I would expect the whole screen to be white in matte view, based on what I am doing.

What happens when you render a single frame? Does it look like this as well?

It’s hard for me to diagnose what’s going on here so you might have to email support@toonboom.com so that they can take a look at your project.

Thanks lilly ill post the solution

Composite was set to Vector. It should be Bitmap.

Thanks!

Aha! Excellent! Thanks for sharing the solution.
