Rename a range of drawings with a prefix?

I am hoping to find a solution or workaround for EXPOSING Multiple frames in the xhseet by adding a prefix to multiple frames, or a way to add the prefix to sections of frames in the timeline.

Example:

  1. I have Mouths Named A,B,C,D,E,F,G,X for my main front view, where i lip sync my entire Audio Track.

  2. I create a Head turn and now want to expose the drawings for all the pre-done lip sync, for my charcaters 3 Quarters Right view. (Prefix of “3Q_R_”)

  3. The current set of mouths are lip synced in Front View with the basic names A,B,C,D,E,F,G & X. Can I either in the timeline or xhseet, select a range of frames and NOT RENAME but change what drawings are exposed, by adding a prefix of 3Q_R_ to correspond with the drawings in my layer for the 3Q_R views of the mouth positions?

OR

is there a way to export the xsheet to a spread sheet , rename the drawings using find and replace features, and then re import to harmony ?

Any solution to cut my work flow down when lip syncing and needing to make head turns during the lip sync would be ideal.

A second thought occurred to me. Is there a way to only lip sync sections of the timeline, using the layer properties panel of the audio track? if so I could pre define my head turns and lip sync sections based on the angle I want, simply by putting in the proper prefix the the mouth position names in the MAP pop up.

I have tried to set the start and end frames and mapping but it always seems to map tot he entire mouth layer instead of just selected ranges.

Again any help in a solution for head turns outside of my current “Rename each mouth position by hand, by adding the prefix on every frame it changes” solution i would be in your debt.

So i attempted to mass rename with a suffix or prefix, but to no avail. As stated in my second reply, I thought maybe there was a way to lip syn sections at a time with different drawing name prefixes to the mouth shapes, but i cant seem to get that to work, not sure if its even possible.

Anyone have any ideas, or solutions on this matter?

I’m not really sure what you’re asking but you can copy all the mouth drawings
by re-importing them to a new element that you can name 3Qmouths or
something like it. After positioning the element to fit in the mouth area for
your 3Q view rig - you can do a lip-sync mapping of this element to the same
track as the front view mouths are using.
