I’m not sure how to go about asking this… You have a filled shape, and you’ve selected a segment of the outline and deleted it, so you now have a filled shape, with a broken outline. If I wanted to, or needed to,. re-connect that outline so it would be intact, how would I go about doing that? Sometimes Harmony’s plethora of drawing tools, and different ways of accomplishing things can be overwhelming, and I tend to forget things a lot. 
You could use the contour editor tool with the “snap to contour” function enabled and drag one of the end points of the deleted line segment to the other.
Once the points are snapped together they become one.
