question on something simple

Greetings all, I have a question about toonboom studio. This may seem elementary but i can not figure out how to do it. I created a new project in toon boom and i drew a simple cloud on one side of the screen. Can anyone explain step by step how i can make the cloud slowly drift from one side to the other? I saw a tutorial on the toonboom homepage where the animator used the transform tool to move a clipart airplace across the screen. However ive followed the steps exaclty and can not get it to work. Any suggestions? thanks

Well, if you’re talking about the Tutorial “Animating Elements”

This Tutorial explains it all very nicely - please watch it very closely.
Just replace the plane with your hand-drawn cloud.
Are you using the “Camera View” for your animation ?

If you don’t have Toon Boom Studio 3.5, attach your cloud to a peg, and just move this peg
around in the same way as explained in the above tutorial.

Otherwise you’ll find very interesting information here:

I can NOT believe it. It was the camera view thing that was tripping me up. Thank you sooooo much for your help. Ive been trying to animate this cloud for a week now! thanks again  im sure ill have another question soon enough

I recommend that you look at this series of articles on KEY FRAMED ANIMATION which should give you a big head start on using TBS. And of course visit the Toon Boom Studio Wiki for more information too, plus keep asking questions here on the forums. -JK
