Anyone have any tricks or tips for keeping feet still during an animation of a standard cut-out or deformation puppet? Feet are typically rigged to the lower legs so can’t isolate the feet when animating other lower body parts. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi mikeS
Here is a tip of the week video where Lilly shows how to rigg the legs so the feets to stay firmly on the ground while body and legs are moving using bone deformer.
Best regards

For styles that allow this I started having the feet not parented to the legs. I animate the body and the feet and then I can just animate the legs as the last step… minor up and down shifts don’t matter anymore this way
