i am a new user of toonboom studio 4.5, and have almost complieted my first lengthy animation which now has 20 finished scenes.
i would like to know if there is any easy way to “crop” my finished scenes within TBS before exporting… i know you can adjust the export playback range for 1 scene at a time, but i would like to set playback ranges for many scenes whithin a movie when exporting the whole movie.
or would it be better to use use other software to edit the movie.
Hi,
If you right click at the top of the timeline you will have the option to set the Playback Range to Free which will make a black diamond shape which are the range of your scene. You can move those around to do some quick editing.

Ugo
thanks for the response Ugo.
i have previously used the free playback range in exporting single scenes, however im unable to make the start/end pointers stay fixed when exporting many scenes within a movie.
is there any easy way of doing this in TBS 4.5, or can the free playback range be exported only for one scene at a time
bestest regards
blobert
Hi,
The playback range can currently only be selected for the current ongoing scene. In that case you would either need to do a manual cut of the project scene by scene or export each scene independently and merge them back together afterward.

Ugo
many thanks for the response
your solution is the way i export the scenes, and its a pritty easy way to do it when using windows movie maker… though im thinking of getting some video editing software to do quicktime files.
thanks again for the help
