peg easing for camera's?

Hey all, playing around with toonboom for the first time, i was wondering if there’s a way to ease or smooth pegged animation.

i’m using a peg to pan the camera over the scene (as well as using pegs to make the balloon fly away), but the pegs move at a constant speed across the screen and come to a sudden abrupt stop.

it’s not a very nice motion so i was wondering if there’s something that can be done about it, perhaps by easing the pegs or some other method?

you can add the ease-in/ease-out to the peg velocity function:

1. select the peg in the timeline
2. open the function editor → main menu: window > show function editor the pop up dialog window should have a … (peg) in the name field, probably opens as a: 'motion path (peg)'
3. select velocity from the function dropdown menu at the top of the dialog window
4. click and hold on reshape (top right)
5. select ease-in/out (or extreme ease in/out)

that’s it.
cheers,
rob

thanks a lot, that’s exactly what i was looking for.
i did search the helpfiles for easing but nothing came up, this looks like a very important menu to learn how to work with.
