PC Spec Advice for budget harmony build

Hi there,
I am looking to build a budget rig for animation use that can handle heavier workloads and scenes, mainly using harmony. From the recommended spec sheet the more cores and gpu power you can throw at the program the better performance.

Currently I’m looking to get a older pre built hp/dell workstation i7-3770 or xeon equivalent (4 core, 8 threads) and upgrade the memory to 16gb ddr3 1600mhz with a nvidia gtx1030 2gb gpu.

Will the cpu and gpu horsepower be adequate or would I be looking at needing something more substantial/modern?

Any help and advice would be appreciated

Thank you

Cores and GPU are mainly important only for the render speed.

For overall performance in the program the most important pieces
of hardware are the RAM which determines how large a project you
can work on before performance begins to degrade and the graphic
card which is a factor in how high a resolution project you can work
on before performance begins to degrade (also how many monitors
can be used on the system).

I recommend prioritize mainly on the amount of RAM and the
quality of the graphic card. If you’re on Windows go for an
NVidia GeForce card in the mid to high-end range.
