Palette Issues - Line going thought Scene Palette in Color Window panel

Hey Guys and Gals,

Got a reoccurring issue going on here that has finally been unavoidable.

What does it mean when I see a “White Line” run through the Palette name in the Color window panel?
How can I resolve this?

And also - I have imported 3 characters but one of their palettes is reading the palette from the other guy’s own. How did this happen and what can I do to resolve this?

Please help…like many of us, I got a deadline and not much access to this type of advanced assistance.

Check out the attached image to see if can help you out!

Thanks for reaching out.

If the palette name has a line through it, then the palette is not saved in the scene.
Check the character template scene to see if the palettes was saved in the original
template.

If any character is getting a colour from a different palette it would mean that a
colour pot was copied from one palette to another (and possibly modified).

For some background information… Colour pots in our software have a unique
ID number which is used by the drawing to link to the colour. If two palettes
exist containing colour pots that have the same ID then the colour displayed
will the from the first (top) palette in the list where the colour pot is found.

In general it is best to avoid copying colour pots between palettes unless you are
making a day/night version palette. To have the copied colour not using the same
ID as the palette it was copied from use “Paste As New Colour” when pasting or
just make a new colour pot and use the same RGB value as the colour you wish to copy
from the original palette.
