No sound device detected

One of my students ran into this issue with a sound file she imported into Storyboard Pro 5.5. She’s working on her leica reel (animatic) assignment and had to convert an audio clip to a wav file in Audacity. With the export, the sound file itself plays fine. If she exports her leica, the audio plays fine. But the moment she hits play with sound active in Storyboard Pro, she gets the error “no sound device detected”.

Quicktime is installed. Also, if we show the waveform, it reads. What could possibly cause this?

Side note, it is announced that there is no further support on quicktime from Apple. So how will that effect Toonboom products?

Even i had the same issue. Quick time update was the solution, just update your Quick time and it will work fine
