My mouse registers brush strokes, but my tablet doesn't?

Hi all! I’m having an issue with Toon Boom Harmony Essentials, and I’m not sure how to fix it. I have a Huion GT-221 Pro. My issue is that my mouse will do brush strokes just fine, while my tablet does nothing (usually it will have a green box around the cursor or when I try to draw, no matter what color, it will be gray and disappear right after I lift up my pen, or sometimes just not draw whatsoever). This is my first time using the program, and I have a project due on October 3rd that I need to finish. Thank you!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Toon Boom Support, my name is Edgar and it will be a pleasure to help you.

That is not a supported tablet and we never tested with our products, however, I’m assuming if you do the following;

  1. Remove the Huion drivers
  2. Unplug the tablet from the USB ports
  3. Restart the machine
  4. Download Drivers
  5. Plug your Wacom and install the drivers

That’s a really trashy answer to a legit question especially when the tech specs page doesn’t say anything about Huions being unsupported.

I’m having the same issue across HE 14, 15 and 16 with my Huion that up until about a month ago ran Harmony fine. I also know just because it worked in the past doesn’t make it supported, but after diving into the forums for an answer I’m really underwhelmed by the “oh well” stance on Huions.

The problem:
The program is tracking my pen but when I press down the eraser function kicks in no matter what tool is selected. The brush tool works sometimes if double tapped.

Thank you for the feedback.

The recommended and tested tablets to run our software are Wacom, we have tested models from Huion and they don’t meet our requirements.

Our recommendations are listed at https://www.toonboom.com/products/harmony/system-requirements and we fully supported any ongoing issues that you come across using our software with a Wacom device.

If you have multiple monitors, try to unplug one, we have reports from others users that using only one monitor did solve the offset issues.

Hi,
Im having the same problem here. I have a Huion Kamvas 24 pro and my toon boom was workink just fine until at some point it decided that it would only let me draw in a small fraction of my screen. I can draw with my mouse, but when trying with the pen i just cant.

Any solution?
