Hi, just wondering that incorporating a matte layer with initial cut-out drawings would save an awful lot of time when chopping up and repairing/redrawing your character?

Do you mean stuff done in the software or imported bitmap. Drawings from the software automatically have a matte level which is defined by the filled zone. I am not quite sure what you are looking for though so you might want to elaborate a little more on the subject.
