Make Multiple Deformers affect One Object?

Hello, I’m currently working on a Master Controller controlled turn-around rig where an envelope deformer is used to deform the body to make it appear it’s “turning”.

What I want to do now is add one major curve deformer to act as the spine of the rig so my character can bend over while the character is turning. However, it seems this isn’t easy. Two deformers can’t deform one object without getting some weird deformities.

Is there a way to have multiple deformers affect one object?
