In Storyboard Pro 5.1 there appears to be a glitch: if the camera has been repositioned along the Z axis, the scaling function of the Maintain Size tool breaks.
Steps to recreate issue:
-
Convert shot to 3D.
-
Leave camera in default position.
-
Select a layer and move it along the Z axis using Maintain Size tool in either top view or side view.
- Under these circumstances, the tool works properly: The layer visually stays the same size in the Camera View.
-
Move camera along Z axis to a position away from layers (to a positive Path Z value).
-
Select a layer and move it away from camera using Maintain Size tool in either top view or side view.
- Under these circumstances, the tool works improperly: The layer visually scales UP in the Camera View.
-
Move the same layer towards camera using Maintain Size tool in either top view or side view.
- Under these circumstances, the tool works improperly: The layer visually scales DOWN in the Camera View.
-
Move camera along Z axis to a position towards layers (to a negative Path Z value).
-
Select a layer and move it away from camera using Maintain Size tool in either top view or side view.
- Under these circumstances, the tool works improperly: The layer visually scales DOWN in the Camera View.
-
Move the same layer towards camera using Maintain Size tool in either top view or side view.
- Under these circumstances, the tool works improperly: The layer visually scales UP in the Camera View.
This renders the tool essentially useless once the camera has been moved.
