Lvel opacity

I’m using Animate (not Pro) and am having problems seeing the layer underneath the one I’m drawing in while I’m drawing. While scrubbing or playing, it’s no problem because all the levels have equal weight, but while drawing the entire level (not just the lines) is milky and too opaque for me to see the small details on the level below, with which my animation needs to interact.
I have tried every option for adjusting opacity in Preferences - Drawing but none make a difference that i can see.

My question:

Does anyone know if there’s another way to control the opacity of the level one’s drawing in while working in it?

Also, does anyone know if this is a feature in Animate Pro?

Thanks

SL

I think you should just turn off the Light Table, then it will show it the same way that it is shown when you scrub.
