Lip syncing from different angles

A simple solution I’m sure. I just wondered how you guys dealt with lip syncing with different angles. Say a character is talking and in mid speech, he goes from a straight forward view to a 3/4 view. Obviously the mouth shapes will be different. Right now I’m just making the mouth on a different layer and renaming them (mouth,mouth 3/4 ect.) is there any other solutions to this or am I doing what everyone else does?
