Am I missing it somewhere? Also, as others have posted, a way to move objects with drawing selection tool not directly hovering over the line.

I’m not sure what you mean by setting beg/end work area
To nudge an element, you can select something, then use the arrow keys. Shift+the arrow keys will nudge in larger increments.
