Isolating parent in a hierarchy

I was just wondering while animating in Animate Pro 2, if it’s possible to isolate a parent in a hierarchy so that any transformations will not affect its child/children.

You can kind of cheat it. Make the parent an empty or transparent drawing and the actual drawing one of it’s children. So the new child can transform independently of the hierarchy when necessary or wanted.

Mmmm…very ingenious! Thanks.

In the meantime I found another way - my body parts are comprised of symbols, so I just edit my parent and duplicate drawing, transform it and use drawing substitution in the top view.

It doesn’t tween but the eye doesn’t notice ;D
