Imports Black Images and Video

I’m running Toon Boom Studio 7 on a Motion Computing LE1700.

Whenever I try to import an image or a video it appears as a black box in the workspace. If I export the movie from toon boom I can see the image or video perfectly fine.
I have tried jpegs, pngs, gifs, bitmaps, avi, mov type files and they all appear as black boxes.

I’m guessing this is because the graphics in my pc aren’t good enough?

This is what my pc has:
Processor: Intel(R) Core™2 CPU L7400 @ 1.50GHz
Memory: 2.5GB RAM
Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family
Chip type: Intel(R) GMA 950
Display Memory: 256 MB

These onboard Intel graphic cards are usually underpowered for running an animation software that relies quite heavily on graphics. In addition, the Intel OpenGL drivers are not always the best, especially the factory-shipped ones.
Try updating your graphic card driver and if you’re on Windows, disable the Aero desktop theme by right-clicking the desktop, selecting “Personalize” and using instead one of the Basic & High Contrast themes instead.
