Importing Templates to Global Library

Hello all. I have Toon Boom Studio 8.1 on two different computers and I’m trying to use a template that is saved on one of the computers on the other but I’m running into some difficulty.

I copied the .tbt file to my USB flash drive, moved the flash drive to my second computer and tried to open the file through the global library. Rather than open as I expected, I received an error message saying that Toon Boom cannot read that type of file.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Try adding the file from the outside by locating the folder containing templates that is accessed by TB Studio. Paste the template into the folder. Open Studio and access the folder through the Library. Add it to your project by dragging it into the scene.
