importing 3d objects

I created an object in blender, and imported it into SBP, as an FBX, an Obj and a 3ds. In all 3 examples, the parts of the model which had a simple one color material imported fine. but in some parts of the model I UV unwrapped it and applied a material with a texture,( to give it more detail). None of the textures imported with the model.
How do you import a model into SBP and keep the textures on the model?
I’m thinking of the pirate ship tutorial, where the pirate ship clearly has textures on it.
The other thing is that the imported models are very faint, as if a sheet of tracing paper is over them, dampening there colors. Is there anyway of importing the models and seeing them more vibrant on screen, again, I’m thinking of the pirate ship tutorial, where the ship is very clear and easy to read.
