Import SWF problem...

Yeah, i know this is a common question and i HAVE used the search function on the forum with no avail

I’m trying to import a character i made in flash to Toon Boom. However, when i click import a progress bar shows up for a split-second and then dissappears. What am i doing wrong?

I have tried publishing with Flash 5,6 and 7 and no luck… Any thoughts?

Hi,

Which exact software are you using? Toon Boom Studio? Toon Boom Animate PLE? Toon Boom Digital Pro?

Regards,

Ugo

Toon Boom Animate 7.6.0 and Flash CS4

Hi,

If you are using the PLE version it is normal that you are getting this behavior. The option will be available in the retail version of the software, this is actually a limitation of the PLE.

Best regards,

Ugo

Really?

Im using the computers at my school, so i dont know if its PLE or not…

Is there any way to fix that?

Hi,

You could try to send us the swf in question to make sure the file is compliant with the software.

As for the PLE, it should actually be written on top of the application window if you are using PLE or not (it would be in the header bar).

Best regards,

Ugo

It doesnt say PLE anywhere in the software…

So yeah if you could check the file out that would be great

Who should i e-mail the .swf to?

Hi,

You can send the file to support@toonboom.com. Just do a quick explanation of the situation so we can more easily figure out what is going on.

Ugo
