Hi!
I would like to import a psd file with different layers. So I followed the instructions from the Getting Started pdf file. However, Animate creates only 1 flattened layer >:( I’ve tried it for over 10 times now, but it still fails…
Can this be caused by the fact that I use Adobe Photoshop CS4? Or is there a Animate patch for this issue? Or an other solution??
Thanks in advance!
Not sure if this is the issue, but this is something I banged my head against the wall about until I looked a little deeper. Each of your Photoshop layers have to all be in their own individual groups for Animate to recognize them as separate. It seems a little odd to only have one layer per group but I guess that’s how the software is able to break them up. Hope that helps!
As “chrispurdin” already explained…

I’ve imported an other psd file and Animate did not flatten that one, so I know how to import it, but it does not work for the file I need to import ???
First I thought it’s maybe because the file is to large, but I shrinked it from 150MB to 30MB and it still can’t be imported as separated layers… very strange…
Now I have splitted my psd file into seperate psd files and imported them one by one. It’s not a great solution, but it does work
