Import and Vectorize creates an ugly border around png

I am making cutout animations for a game and prepared the cutout character in Photoshop as pngs. When I import and vectorize with texture, the pieces in TBS 7.1 I get a pixelated border around the edge of the drawing. This creates unwanted seams when the character is assembled and requires a lot of cleanup to make it presentable. Anyone know why this happens or how to fix it easily?
