I’ve been rigging up a character with mixed success, and as a test I wanted to see if I could lock down the feet, and move the pelvis around.
The rig is pretty straightforward, and on frame 1 I’ve put a nail on both feet. I can then reposition the pelvis and the feet stay in one place.
However, once it tweens, the feet move quite a lot. Clearly, this is not what should happen. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any help!
Well, you need to apply “IK-Constraints” to your legs…
Check out the Kick Start Videos, “9. Animating Your Puppet”, Setting Constraints…
thanks for the response! It was a little tricky to see what was going on in the movie, but it was enough to realize there was an extra step. I think I got it working.
When I apply the IK Constraint, it seems to add a keyframe to all the frames between. Is this correct?
Yes, that is correct…
