IK chain and parenting to peg


I have a puppet where cut-out elements are in hierarchy.
I also have a master peg to which all parent elements are parented.
That obviously creates a big mess since there is a bone going from
peg to each element. Is there a way to get rid of those bones ?
If not what would be the proper technique to avoid this sutation ?
To convert puppet to symbol and parent the symbol to master peg ?

Also I have one limb for which the pivot is shown not in small white
circle, but instead in a tri-color circle (like pie-chart) and it’s acting
somewhat weird. Any idea what does it mean ? Can’t find anything
in the manual about this.


Unfortunately you can’t exclude the master peg from your heirarchy otherwise all its children will be excluded as well. I suggest using your Rotate tool, from the Advanced Animation toolbar, to move the pivot point of your master peg to a more desirable location and make it easier to work with.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to with the tri-colour circle. Can you perhaps take a screenshot and then upload the screenshot to a free site like Photobucket then post the link here?
