how to turn off automatic frame creation?

I would like to have the ability to turn off creating frames of the preceding drawing when i create a new drawing a few frames in the front (just like in toon boom studio). is that possible?

Hi,

I don’t think it is possible, unless somebody proves me wrong.
It is a very handy thing, but I can understand in some cases it can be the opposite of what you want.

What is your workflow? Maybe I can help you find a “work-around” or maybe there is an option you don’t know of.

I was just having fun and wanted to create a frame-by-frame animation that apears and disappears at certain points.

Hi,

I see.
You could always create a blank drawing using the Create Empty Drawing command.
This way you expose it on the first frame you don’t want to see anything and when you drawing your new drawing, something like 12 or 15 frames after, the blank drawing will be automatically exposed instead of your last drawing that had something on it.
