How to put drawings into Library

Hi, I have been trying to teach myself how to use this, I have Toon Boom Studio 4.0. I have drawn and saved several backgrounds and 2 cut- out persons, how do I put more than one into a scene?? From what I have been reading it says to put the drawings into the library by dragging over the file… but that does not work. It “goes in” but then when I try to bring it out it is blank. So, 1) how do I put background drawings and cut-out’s into the library and 2) is it possible to just open more than one file to put into one scene? Like a background and a cut-out…
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Maybe, you didn’t collapse the top-level-peg in your cut-out-hierarchy…?
Otherwise it’s just drag and drop, as often as you like…
Backgrounds, props, whole characters, eyes-, hands-, mouth-shapes etc.
One can assemble whole characters and scenes by dragging all the saved templates
from the Library directly into any project…

Please have a look at JK’s excellent introduction to Libraries:
