How to properly use linear motion function?

I’m having definitely having some trouble trying to get the linear motion to properly work… I wasn’t able to find any tutorials expressing how it should be done.

Would anyone would be kind enough to walk we through how to properly do it?

Generally all you do is add a beginning motion keyframe and an ending one,
using the “Translate” tool from the animation tools toolbar to mode the image
on one or both keyframes.
