I’ve been looking for tutorials on how to achieve shading but nearly every single one of them uses the Module view that isn’t in ToonBoom Animate 3, and the ones that don’t are destructive to the original layer. I’ve looked into using tones and highlights to achieve it but I can’t figure out how to make them function the way it does in the tutorials because they use the module view. Even the official documentation shows using the module view, which makes me wonder if it was a feature that had been there but was removed at some point.
Here’s a tutorial that shows what I want to do, but uses the module view - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr46cQoYLOo&t=125s
Also I noticed that there is a coloring mode in the camera and drawing view that allows me to draw behind lineart on the same layer, but also that I can’t use the bucket tool to fill in the lineart in that mode. It seems like it’d be odd to have a coloring mode and then restrict me to coloring manually in that mode.
If anyone knows how to achieve this please let me know. Thanks in advance!
