how cut a panel (cut tool for timeline ?)resolved

hi evereybody !
i m looking for a tool able to cut a panel as well as for a sound.
Duplicate panel make a real mess in the timeline
however its a simple action ?
it would be like to break an instance on flash or tvpaint
some key actions need one inner key with the same timing.
…
any tip i didn’t see?
if not, a timeline cut tool for the next update ?

Hi,

You could bring your marker to the location where you want to cut in timeline view, then right click on the layer and use the Split Panel at Current Frame. This should do the cut you were mentioning.

it don’t work !
with version 8.5 (4490),
i selected my panel on the frame in timeline
then right-click on this panel

Hi,

Did you try the Split Current Shot option from the timeline view?

If so what was the result?

I create one project,
with one shot/panel.
I select timeline view
shot duration : 10 sec
i go at the time : 5sec (where i want the cut )
right click and I select split current shot

nothing happens if only one panel

Hi,

I actually watched your screenshot more closely and I noticed that for some reason your menu on the right click is missing the feature that I was mentioning. I double checked on the version 1.5 of the software and it should be there. Would it be possible for you to provide to us the version of the software you have (in Help>About>should be something like version 8.5.0 (4490)).

Hi,

This seem to be the right version. In that case you might want to try to completely uninstall the software from your machine (remove preferences as well), reboot the machine and install the software back.

This might be related to some corrupted entries in your xml that generate menus. If it is not yet the case you might also want to temporarily set your language setting to English (United States) while installing to make sure every variable the software uses are set in the proper language.

Thanks for your help !
It was a corrupted file,
but now I have the “split panel at current frame”.
I just had to reset the software up AND to delete my preference.

Now I enjoy the version 1.5 !
