Help

Hi i have a question. I want to burn my animation to dvd. But i keep running into an interlacing problem. I export my animation from toonboom 3.0 and the quality is excelent and i know the problem dosen’t come form toonboom. I have vegas movie studio and it comes with a program called dvd architect its very good but it causes interlacing. I’ve used nero 6 but it compresses the video and lowers the video quality. Could it be that the dvd disc might not have enough space on it because I heard if their is not enough spACE the dvd program will compress the video and that may cause interlacing. I absolutly don’t want my film to be interlaced because that distracts from the film. I just want to burn my film in the same quality as i made it in toonboom with no compression. Please any suggestions wil be greatly appreciated maybe a suggestion on a program that will solve my problems. Thank you very much.

afaik the best output format for the dvd is a digital video .dv stream. it’s a 5:1 compression of the raw digital video, and the quality is the best of all export formats.
it may look messy on a computer screen (due to rectangular pixels coding, opposed to the square computer display pixels), but the video devices display the dvd properly.

the .dv is the biggest film file size, though, but unless for the web it shouldn’t matter.
cheers,
rob

I have no problems with exporting from toonboom its the interlacing that so many dvd authoriting programs cause. I just want my animation to be burned to dvd the same quality as i made with no interlacing or video compression.I also want to know could it be that the dvd disc might not have enough space on it because I heard if their is not enough spACE the dvd program will compress the video and that may cause interlacing
