Fringe seen where character anatomy parts overlap

I’ve got an issue I can’t seem to solve.
On my characters you can see a fringe where the anatomy overlaps. For example, you can see the shape of the upper arm overlapping the lower arm.

If I turn Antialiasing Quality to Low for the artwork layer, it solves the problem. BUT, it creates a new one. Now the edge of my image is jagged and antialiased. That’s no good either.

So right now it seems I either have this artwork overlap fringe with antialiasing set to high, or I have a jagged alpha edge with antialiasing set to low.

How do I get around this?

When you created the parts did you have an outline using the same color as the object?
