Im pretty new to this software, so this might be a bit dumb, but when i do traditional 2d animation my frames (that are right next to eachother) keep combining in to one long frame without my doing anything, this is driving me insane and im losing a lot of perfectly good frames… please someone help 
If you are in the Timeline view, each element should have frames of animation lined up horizontally. In the Xsheet view each column represents a drawing element and the frames are lined up vertically.
It sounds like each frame of animation has been created as a separate element with the drawings all at frame 1 of the project.
