So, I understand that Toon Boom isn’t for this type of animation, but I’m trying to do a sprite animation. I had everything set up, ready to animate, then as soon as I edit the second frame, it also edits the first. This kept happening. Every time I updated a frame, it updated all other frames that were allowed to have drawings on it. Can anybody help?

You need press Alt+Shift+D to duplicate drawing.
For example, you can press plus sign on the numeric keypad to extend the frame first, then select the second frame, and then press the Alt+Shift+D key to duplicate drawing.
In this way, if you edit the line again, the previous frame will not edits accordingly.
