You are trying to open a newer file with an older version of a Toon Boom product. This is not possible. Toon Boom is backwards compatible but not forwards compatible.

There is no way to convert a .anim file into a .digital file. If you have a .digital file, you should be working with Harmony. For further information on this, you should contact your sales rep at toonboom. If you don’t have a sales rep, then feel free to send an email to sales@toonboom.com.
